Practising alone, in your own national context

Intrathecal analgesia is practised by small teams, often far from one another and sometimes alone in their country. Each works with the rules and organisation of care that apply where they practise. Thalivia Community gives these teams a place to discuss their cases with peers who face the same situations, and with lead experts who have met them many times.

Different countries, different contexts

Practices, rules and the organisation of care differ from one country to another. Members can show their country in their profile, so that exchanges can take into account the context of the person asking. The community is also a place to discuss these differences between peers.

How it works

  • You receive an invitation and create your account.
  • You ask a question in the relevant category, or answer the questions of other members.
  • When a case calls for it, an expert can open a private thread to continue the discussion in a smaller circle.
  • The Thalivia team and lead experts moderate the exchanges.

Experienced practitioners can join as lead experts. See Become a lead expert.

Community rules

A complement to clinical judgement, never a substitute. Exchanges in Thalivia Community help practitioners think through a situation. They do not replace the clinical judgement of the practitioner in charge, who remains solely responsible for decisions concerning their patients.

No identifying patient data. Each practitioner is responsible for removing or altering any identifying element (name, date of birth, record number or any other information that could identify a patient) before publishing a case. Thalivia Community does not host patient records. Describe cases in general terms.
