About Thalivia
Thalensis SAS develops Thalivia to democratise intrathecal analgesia. Founded by Charles Dupoiron, with Dr Denis Dupoiron as scientific advisor.
Our mission
Intrathecal analgesia can relieve severe chronic pain when other treatments are not enough. Few patients have access to it, because few teams practise it.
Thalivia works to democratise intrathecal analgesia. We connect practitioners through Thalivia Community, and we are preparing tools for traceability, training and shared data, always with practitioners.
Team
Charles Dupoiron, founder
Charles Dupoiron led a web agency specialising in health information systems for ten years. In 2014 he created a software for the follow-up of intrathecal analgesia, used at the Institut de Cancérologie de l’Ouest (ICO). He founded Thalensis SAS to bring this experience to the whole field.
Dr Denis Dupoiron, scientific advisor
Dr Denis Dupoiron is the scientific advisor of Thalivia.
- Former head of the Anaesthesia and Pain department at the Institut de Cancérologie de l’Ouest (ICO, Angers)
- President of the French Neuromodulation Society, the French chapter of the International Neuromodulation Society
- Author of more than 50 publications
- Co-author of the international PACC guidelines on intrathecal drug delivery
- Axel Kahn Prize 2023
