You practise intrathecal analgesia, sometimes as the only team in your region or your country, with the rules and organisation of care that apply where you work. Thalivia Community brings these teams together with lead experts from every country, to discuss cases between peers.

Practising intrathecal analgesia around the world

In many countries, intrathecal analgesia rests on a handful of teams. Your team may be the only one in your region, or one of very few in your country. Practices, rules and the organisation of care differ from one country to another, and the colleagues who have met the case in front of you often work abroad, in another language.

Thalivia connects these teams, and prepares with them the tools the field lacks. Dr Denis Dupoiron is the scientific advisor of the project.

Software in development for the structured follow-up of intrathecal pump refills, designed with practitioners. CE marking and availability are planned for the first quarter of 2027. It is not available for clinical use until then.

An online training programme on intrathecal analgesia, being prepared with pain specialists and instructional designers.

About the programme
Training pathway in preparation, in two levels. Level 1, Discovery (overcome barriers, confirm the indication): a new perspective, patient selection. Level 2, Practice (secure the procedure and follow-up): therapeutic options, implantation procedure, patient follow-up, managing complications, focus on one molecule, coordinated care pathway.

A project for a registry of pseudonymised data under independent scientific governance, to give the field a shared reference.

About the registry project
How a registry works, as a project, in five steps: care centres document their practice; data are pseudonymised and the centre remains the data controller; they join a shared registry hosted in France by a certified health data host (HDS); an independent scientific committee validates the research questions; the shared knowledge, publications and common benchmarks, goes back to practitioners.
